What Is an STL File?
An STL file is a 3D model file. It describes the shape of a 3D object as a mesh of triangles. It's the standard format for 3D printing — the same way a JPG is the standard format for photos.
When you buy an STL file from us, you're buying the digital blueprint. You then take that blueprint to your 3D printer and manufacture the physical object yourself.
You are not buying a physical product. You're buying the instructions to make one.

Step 3: Open in your slicer
A "slicer" converts the STL model into instructions your printer understands (G-code). The most popular slicers are:
All are free to download.
Step 4: Set your print settings
In your slicer, choose your printer, material, and settings. Most of our files include recommended settings in the description. The most important ones: layer height 0.2mm, infill 15–20%, supports off (unless noted).
Step 5: Send to printer
Export G-code to an SD card or send wirelessly to your printer. Press print. Done.
